Broad bean festival in Isnello

The beans festival in Isnello is organized every year on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of St. Peter.
The aim of the festival is to keep intact an ancient tradition which foresaw, precisely in conjunction with the , the weighing of the beans as a sign of thanks for the good harvest. It was a tradition to set large tables in the neighborhoods of the village where you could taste the beans cooked in quartare, i.e. large pots. Even today, on the occasion of the Isnello broad bean festival, it is possible to taste cooked broad beans, together with potatoes and onions, in large quarters and take part in the tables set up in the various districts of the village, just as per ancient tradition.
