Festival of Sfincia in Carini
The traditional Sfincia festival takes place in Carini on the occasion of the feast of San Giuseppe. La Sfincia is a typical Sicilian sweet, traditionally prepared on the occasion of the feast of San Giuseppe, characterized by a tasty ricotta filling.
In the main square of the village it will be possible to taste these traditional sweets and other typical products such as hot ricotta pasteurized at the moment. Stands will also be set up with typical Sicilian handicrafts.
Traditionally this event is accompanied by playful events such as the greasy pole and the game of Pignatelli and by the parade of Sicilian carts through the streets.
