Church of San Giuseppe in Lipari
The Church of San Giuseppe in Lipari is located in a dominant position in the port area of Marina Corta in Lipari.
The templum magnum or primitive church of San Bartolomeo alla marina stood in the same place. where the remains of San Bartolomeo were kept and which Barbarossa had razed to the ground to place the cannons to fire on the Castle.
The small church, with a single nave with barrel vaults, features frescoes and sculptures from the late seventeenth century by artists locals. Inside there is a representation of the Lourdes grotto with the Madonna and Bernadette.
