Museum of Contemporary Art in Gibellina
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) of Gibellina, named after Ludovico Corrao, collects about 2000 works of contemporary art including original paintings, graphics and sculptures. It is one of the richest collections in Southern Italy.
The exhibition space is divided into eight rooms, one of which is dedicated to the artist Mario Schifano, while a second to the sketches of the architectural and artistic works present outdoors in Gibellina. Inside the museum there is also the MAD section, or museum-laboratory of decorative arts, where educational exhibitions are held with the Sicilian academies.
