Pasta co meli - Pasta with honey

Pasta co Meli, i.e. Pasta with honey, is the typical dish of the city of Butera. The origins of this dish date back to the Arabs and it is still traditionally prepared today for the feast of St. Joseph and on Good Friday.
It is spaghetti seasoned with honey and flavored with toasted almonds, breadcrumbs and ground orange peel , and cinnamon.
It is eaten both as a dessert and as a first course.
