San Nicola Tower Beach in Licata

The Torre San Nicola beach in Licata is a small sandy bay inserted in a stretch of coastline characterized by cliffs that thin out into the sea. The beach is very popular in the summer due to the beauty of its pristine sea and the landscape made even more suggestive by the presence of the San Nicola Tower.
Torre San Nicola was built in the first half of the 16th century on a high rock with the function of guarding the Cala della Mollaga. The Tower is about ten meters high and has an octagonal shape. Unfortunately it is in a very bad state of conservation.
