Feast of the Holy Brothers Martyrs in San Fratello
The celebrations for the patron saints of San Fratello, the martyr saints Cirino, Filadelfio and Alfio, take place every year on May 10.
Traditionally, on the eve of the feast, a suggestive torchlight procession takes place which accompanies the relics through the city streets.
During the feast day, the simulacrum of San Filadelfio is carried in procession, accompanied by a reliquary urn, from the Mother Church to Monte Vecchio, where the sanctuary of the three Martyr Brothers is located. A particularity of the procession is the fact that it is preceded by a parade of knights on horseback who accompany the simulacrum up to the sanctuary. The Fanfare of the Jews of San Fratello and the band take part in the procession.
