San Fratello is a small village in the Nebrodi Mountains, enclosed between the Inganno and Furiano streams.
Its origins are very ancient, it is believed that they can be found in the ancient Apollonia, a Greek city destroyed in the 3rd century BC. by Agathocles. The current inhabited area dates back to the 11th century when, at the behest of Adelasia, wife of Roger I, the city she founded was transferred and completely destroyed by a landslide in 1754, thus establishing a colony of Lombards.
