Donnalucata

Nicola Feola - CC3.0

Donnalucata is a small fishing village with fine sandy beaches, a splendid sea, and a small port with fishing boats.
Its name "Donnalucata" derives from the Latin name of a strange natural phenomenon discovered by the Arab cartographer Edrisi: a spring capable of gushing five times a day at specific times.
The Donnalucata seafront is the Marinella seafront of "Il Commissario Montalbano", a famous fiction based on the novel by Andrea Camilleri.
