Scicli is a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the other seven late Baroque cities of the Val di Noto: along the streets of the historic center of Scicli there are splendid churches in golden stone and sumptuous palaces.
Scicli is home to some of the main locations of the TV series Il Commissario Montalbano, based on the novel of the same name by Andrea Camilleri.
