The Natural Reserve Oriented Faunistic Oasis of Vendicari is considered among the most beautiful oases in Europe.
In the reserve it is possible to find different natural environments: areas of fresh water, salt flats, coastal dunes and kilometers of beaches.
Located between Noto and Marzamemi, in Eastern Sicily, the oasis encompasses an area of 15,000 hectares of land and 13 kilometers of unspoiled coastline.
Inside the reserve, an entire ecosystem lives undisturbed, the dense vegetation suddenly opens up to a crystalline sea, to very long and golden beaches, which in a few hundred meters become rocks overlooking a deep sea. admire Flamingos, Herons, Storks that stop in this area before reaching their definitive migratory destinations.

The Blue itinerary leads to the northern part of the reserve: from Eloro beach, where there are the ruins of the Greek colony of Eloro, the path, passing through Marianelli beach, leads to Calamosche beach, the most famous beach in the reserve. The route is about 6 km long.
The Orange itinerary allows you to reach the huts for bird watching, the Tonnara, the Sveva Tower, the Vendicari beach and the Calamosche beach. The route is about 5 km long.
The Green route is the archaeological route: from the entrance of Cittadella Maccari near the beach of San Lorenzo, the route leads to Case Cittadella, a recently restored farmhouse with a millstone that hosts naturalistic exhibitions and cultural sites in the area, crosses the archaeological site of Cittadella, where you can admire La Trigona, a Byzantine cuba from the 6th century AD, and the Byzantine Necropolises, and ends at the Tonnara di Vendicari and the Sveva Tower. The route is about 5 km long.
