Buccheri is a small medieval village located in the heart of the Iblei Mountains, perched on the slopes of Mount Lauro. It is a country rich in history and houses archaeological evidence that tells of the passage of Sicilians, Greeks, Romans and Byzantines.
Over the centuries the country had a great development but the terrible earthquake of 1693 almost completely destroyed the ancient inhabited. Following the reconstruction Buccheri was embellished with small Baroque treasures that increase the value of this small village.
Buccheri boasts a prestigious agri-food production and an excellent food and wine tradition: Buccheri extra virgin olive oil, meats, cured meats, mushrooms and truffles.
