Naro, located on a hill in the Agrigento hinterland, dominated by the Chiaramontano castle, is a small village rich in history, art and natural and landscape beauties.
Its territory has been inhabited since ancient times: the first populations to settle were the Sicani, followed by the Greeks, the Romans, the Normans, the Arabs... It reached its maximum splendor during the 17th century. It was in this era that Naro was enriched with many Baroque-style monuments that made it the queen of the Agrigento Baroque.
