Letojanni is a renowned seaside resort in Sicily, it is part of the tourist area of Taormina and is located in the center of a large bay between the promontories of S. Alessio, on which Forza D'Agrò stands, and S. Andrea, on which it stands Taormina.
It is believed that today's Letojanni rises in the same place as ancient Lethaios, a Siceliot locality that fell under Roman rule, of which we no longer have any news. It is believed that the absence of a fortified defensive system has decreed its end. The current town was built around 1650, when Francesco Reitano, Marquis of Gallidoro, made his home there, building a sumptuous palace. Since then, the town of Letojanni grew to become a renowned tourist resort.
