Furci Siculo
Things to do, attractions, interesting facts

Area: Taormina surroundings
It is believed that this territory was inhabited by the Sicans, the Sicilians and the Phoenicians of Phoinix. With the foundation of Zancle and Naxos, the first two Greek colonies in Sicily, the Greeks also reached these territories. Throughout the medieval and Renaissance periods, until 1854, it was a fraction of the municipality of Savoca, and only in 1919 Furci Siculo obtained full autonomy.
Furci Siculo has a small and suggestive historic center but its main attraction is the its beach which, bordered by the mouths of the two streams, offers a unique landscape and a crystal clear sea.
