Trecastagni rises on the slopes of the Etna volcano, it is one of the highest villages in Sicily, and enjoys a particularly panoramic position.
Its foundation date is uncertain, it is believed it could be placed in the early fourteenth century according to the finds found in the area.
Trecastagni rises in an area with a great natural heritage: its territory is surrounded by various volcanic cones of different ages and sizes; it is surrounded by chestnut, oak and holm oak woods where the lava flows that have crossed this territory over time stand out.
