Delia

State: CL - Area: Central Sicily

Delia rises in the Sicilian hinterland, on the slope of the Monserrato hill and extends to the east assuming the characteristic shape of a large amphitheater. It is surrounded by hills full of almond and olive trees, and is dominated by the castle of Sabaci which dominates the surrounding area.
It is a young city, founded in 1597 by Baron Gaspare Lucchese.

Typical food, local wines and drinks, traditional dish to taste in Delia

You can obviously taste all the typical products of Sicilian cuisine, the most well-known ones, such as cannoli, Sicilian cassata, arancini, etc. But there are some specialties typical of this area that are more difficult to find in other areas of Sicily.

The village of Delia is famous for a dessert called cuddrireddra di Delia, whose peculiarity lies in the art with which it is made its shape.
