Area: Central Sicily
Delia rises in the Sicilian hinterland, on the slope of the Monserrato hill and extends to the east assuming the characteristic shape of a large amphitheater. It is surrounded by hills full of almond and olive trees, and is dominated by the castle of Sabaci which dominates the surrounding area.
It is a young city, founded in 1597 by Baron Gaspare Lucchese.
The village is famous for a dessert called cuddrireddra di Delia, whose peculiarity lies in the art with which it is made its shape.
